dc.description.abstractTechnological tools are materials that, without the need to use furniture, large shelves or consultation hours, inform and communicate as much as possible to those seeking information. It is the way in which students, members of an educational community and of society itself, find out what is happening around them at an educational, economic, political, social, and technological level. Furthermore, what makes the use of technological tools possible is that it can be visited at any time of the day and from anywhere in the world through the Internet, and with the desire that students have to improve themselves and assimilate new knowledge that is useful to them. for the development of their knowledge on the subject. This study covered a population of 30 students from the Francisco de Orellana educational unit who had deficiencies in reading comprehension in the subject of English as a second language. The proposal will attach the survey conducted to the students with the basic contents of the correct use of Kahoot! platform, and information about the benefits that students will obtain through the use of the technological tool will be evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively through surveys and tests carried out as the student develops comprehension and reading skills within the platform. The use of the platform The platform allows interaction between teacher and student in a dynamic way and thus facilitates the learning of the foreign language for students. A relevant aspect of using this application is to generate greater knowledge and better reading comprehension and in this way the effectiveness of the development will be demonstrated to improve the skills of English as a second language students. Teachers and students will be involved in this research process to verify if the proposal is positive for the development of comprehensive reading skills in ninth grade students.
