The study aimed to analyze learners' attitudes and perceptions towards using ChatGPT, provide evidence-based recommendations for its implementation as a teaching tool, and assess its effectiveness in improving speaking proficiency within this educational context. Employing a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses through pre-tests, post-tests, surveys, and interviews, the study found significant improvements in speaking skills, particularly fluency and pronunciation. It revealed positive learner attitudes towards ChatGPT's interactive and engaging capabilities. Although implementing a guide for integrating ChatGPT was initially considered, the focus shifted towards highlighting the importance of such innovative tools in teaching English.
