The problem consisted of the students' lack of motivation to participate in oral activities, which is why the students did not develop these skills properly and therefore did not have good academic performance. To solve this problem, it was created a methodological proposal consisting on a system of activities based on extrinsic motivation so that students feel motivated to carry out the aforementioned oral activities and do it correctly under the teacher’s guidance. In the path, the mixed method (quantitative - qualitative), data collection instruments were developed such as an initial and final test, in addition two surveys for teachers and students. The initial results were positive for the existence of the stated problem and the final results showed how the application of the proposal greatly helped to increase the level of motivation and improve the development of oral skills in the students. That is why for the elaboration of the theoretical framework of this work, the most relevant concepts that support it were taken into account, and in the future, it is recommended to expand this research since probably through the its use, data collection and processing methods, similar problems can be detected and solved with the system of activities designed.
