In the research of language learning, vocabulary expansion is critical for developing language proficiency. Vocabulary serves as the fundamental basis for proficiency in any language. This researchthe imperative for integrating digital resources into the English A1 language instruction process for students at the School of Military Training in Ecuador (ESFORSFT).Methodologically, the study employed a quasi-experimental design. It included 25 students selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling, thus utilizing both qualitative and quantitative techniques for evaluation. The findings indicated a statistically significant improvement. Interventions primarily focused on leveraging the Wordwall platform to enhance English vocabulary, and an initial survey was administered to gather information regarding prior familiarity with this technological resource.Preliminary results, prior to the implementation of Wordwall-based activities, demonstrated that while most participants had heard of the platform, they lacked clear understanding of its functions and benefits. However, subsequent to the application of the activities, students reported a strong interest, affirming that the platform facilitated their vocabulary expansion, thereby improving their speaking fluency in English. Furthermore, a positive impact on their English spelling proficiency was observed. In conclusion, the adoption of the Wordwall platform received a favorable reception within the institution. Its numerous exercises fostered self-directed learning and significantly motivated students to practice. Ultimately, the integration of the Wordwall platform as a key tool is deemed important for promoting active and constructive English language learning.
